What the heck is going on here? You've got the engine out and the front end hoisted in a way that looks extremely precarious. But then again, I'm not an expert by any means on lifting a car.

Had to use the engine hoist to lift the front of the car high enough to get the engine out the bottom.

Well my friends 8 has been on the slippery slope of compression issues for a while now and finally wouldn't crank Monday morning. So now the engines out, new seals will be here Wednesday.

Yes and no... If you have a lift it's easy to get the whole long block out the bottom since the whole engine is behind the front axle line. We decided to leave then tranny attached and do it this way for the hell of it and see if it was any easier. It'll be going back in from the top though.
